Exemption of the Two COs Mark Nabil and Mostafa Ahmed

On the 20^th of May 2015, Egypt’s minister of defense, Sedki Sobhi, issued an executive order to exempt the two Egyptian conscientious Objectors, Mark Nabil Sanad and Mostafa Ahmed El-Saied, permanently from the military service. Both conscientious objectors have been living in a legal limbo for over a year, struggling for recognition as conscientious objectors. The decision of the minister of defense didn’t recognize them as conscientious objectors, but decided to exempt them from the service permanently.

NoMilService Is Now A Member In EBCO

NoMilService is happy to announce that last Saturday, the 9^th May, the General  Assembly of the European Bureau for Conscientious Objection (EBCO) has voted unanimously to adopt NoMilService as an EBCO member with consultative status. NoMilService representatives will be able to participate in all EBCO’s future meetings.

حركة لا للتجنيد الإجباري يسعدها أن تعلن، أنه في يوم السبت الماضي 9 مايو 2015، قامت الجمعية العمومية للمكتب الأوربي للأعتراض الضميري (إبكو) المنعقدة ببروكسل بالتصويت بالإجماع على قبول حركة لا للتجنيد الإجباري عضو أستشاري بالمنظمة. منذ الآن، سيكون بإمكان ممثلي الحركة المشاركة بجميع أجتماعات المكتب الأوربي للأعتراض الضميري.

مارك نبيل سند

مارك نبيل سند من مواليد محافظة اسيوط عام 1992، حاصل على بكالريوس حاسبات ومعلومات عام 2014. تم أنتخابه رئيسا لحركة لا لتتجنيد الاجبارى في  يوم 9 ابريل 2015 فى ذكرى تأسيس الحركة.

انعقاد الجمعية العمومية لحركة لا للتجنيد الإجباري

أنعقدت يوم الخميس الماضي 9 أبريل 2015 الجمعية العمومية لحركة لا للتجنيد الإجباري، و ذلك بمدينة القاهرة. حيث أنه طبقا للائحة الحركة الداخلية، تنعقد الجمعية العمومية للحركة مرة واحدة سنويا، و ذلك في الذكرى السنوية لتأسيس الحركة، يوم 9 أبريل من كل عام. خلال الجمعية العمومية، قدم المسئولين بالحركة تقاريرا عن الدور الذي قاموا به خلال العام الماضي.

NoMilService General Assembly Meets in Cairo

NoMilService’s General Assembly has met in Cairo last Thursday 9th April 2015. The General Assembly meets annually at the anniversary of establishing the movement on the 9th of April each year. Active members in the movement submitted their annual reports detailing their efforts during the last year.

نحن، منظمات السلام وحقوق الإنسان، نعلن دعمنا وتضامنا مع حركة لا للتجنيد الأجباري ومع المعترض الضميري المصري، مارك نبيل سند. إننا ندين صمت السلطات المصرية على مدى المعاناة المعترضين ضميريا. ندعو السلطات المصرية لأحترام حقوقه المدنية والاعتراف بحقه في إعفاء من الخدمة العسكرية بناء على معتقداته الضميرية.

International Statement: Solidarity with the Egyptian Conscientious Objector Mark Nabil Sanad

We, peace and human rights organizations, declare our support and solidarity with No to Compulsory Military Service Movement and with the Egyptian conscientious objector, Mark Nabil Sanad. We condemn the silence of Egypt’s authorities over conscientious objectors’ suffering. We call on the Egyptian authorities to restore his civil rights and to recognize his right to an exemption from the military service based on his conscientious beliefs.

على الدولة المصرية الأعتراف بحق الأعتراض الضميري لمارك نبيل سند

تؤكد حركة للتجنيد الإجباري على دعمها الكامل لحق المعترض الضميري مارك نبيل سند في أعفاء من الخدمة العسكرية، و تطالب السلطات المصرية بإنهاء الوضع الغير القانوني الخاص به و تحويله لخدمة مدنية بديلة حسب طلبه.

كان مارك نبيل قد أبلغ المسئولين بمنطقة تجنيد أسيوط يوم 13 مايو 2014 بمعتقداته السلامية، و رفضه للخدمة العسكرية. تم التحقيق معه يومها من قبل ضباط الأمن الحربي، ثم تم التحقيق معه ثانية يوم 15 مايو 2014 في المقر الرئيسي للمخابرات الحربية بالقاهرة. و منذ ذلك التاريخ أمتنعت المؤسسة العسكرية عن تسليم مارك نبيل أي مستند قانوني يفيد بإنهاء خدمته العسكرية. بدون ذلك المستند، يعيش مارك نبيل محروما من حقوقه الدستورية و القانونية و أهمها الحق في العمل و السفر و التعليم.
